The Gator Grip (36-grit) tape meets or exceeds OSHA 1910.24, 1910.26, and ANSI A137.1/A326.3 (Dry & Wet) Dynamic Coefficient of Friction Test standards, as well as AS/NZS 4586 Pendulum Test (Dry & Wet) requirements.

When preparing to install the tape, it is crucial to clean the surface thoroughly to remove all debris such as dirt, dust, grease, and oil. A solution of 50/50 alcohol and water is recommended for cleaning, with a white cloth for wiping. It may be necessary to use more aggressive cleaning methods for heavy accumulation. The ideal temperature for applying the tape is not less than 50ºF (10ºC), as temperature plays a critical role in adhesive bonding. Applying 15 psi of pressure or more will ensure proper bonding, and the adhesive bond will continue to strengthen over time. Full bond strength is typically achieved within 72 hours at 70ºF.
